Patience as a doorway to happiness and peace

Friends,

For this upcoming Thursday, Oct. 21 Eastside Insight Meditation sit, we’re happy to welcome Susan Alotrico as a guest teacher. Steve is away on retreat.

Her talk will be: Patience as a doorway to happiness and peace.

She wrote: “Susan will discuss cultivating patience as an antidote to anger and reactivity. Patience helps us clearly see what's true, and allows us to abide in the natural rhythm of life with compassion and wisdom.”

 Here’s a bio:

“Susan started studying the Dharma in 2008, when she took the Seattle Insight Meditation Society (SIMS) intro to meditation class, then taught by SIMS founding teacher Rodney Smith. She has sat non-residential and residential retreats in the Northwest and abroad. She serves the needs of children in Seattle Public Schools.”

Susan is now one of the Local Dharma Leaders who offer the dharma under the umbrella of Seattle Insight Meditation Society. She is a vibrant teacher, deeply committed to the dharma.

The evening will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Zoom url will be:
